ABCA adds Pacific Association Division
At the last American Baseball Coaches Association Board of Directors meeting, the board unanimously accepted the proposal making the Pacific Association Division an official division of the ABCA. The PAD will fall under the umbrella of the ABCA Junior College Division. The ABCA Junior College Division now consists of NJCAA Divisions I, II, II, as well as the Pacific Association Division.
The Pacific Association Division consists of the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association and the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges. The CCCBCA consists of 89 schools, six conferences in the Southern California Division, and six conferences in the Northern California Division. The NWAACC consists of 27 schools with four conferences.
The PAD's players, coaches and schools will recieve the same awards and recognition as all other ABCA divisions. This allows for the ABCA to recognize even more coaches, student-athletes and schools within the scope of the association.
