SW Oregon Students Collect 381 Teddy Bears Benefiting the Pediatric Unit and the Kids’ Hope Center at Bay Area Hospital
Coos Bay, OR – Southwestern Oregon Community College’s Junior Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Associated Student Government (ASG) held its second annual “Teddy Bear Toss” benefiting the Pediatric Unit and the Kids’ HOPE Center at Bay Area Hospital.
381 Bears were collected at the event held during the men’s basketball game on February 22, 2017.
The teddy bear toss assists the hospital in providing a toy to pediatric patients while admitted at Bay Area Hospital. This can help ease the anxiety and fear for children being hospitalized.
“I am so happy the Junior Chamber was able to get the students and the community involved in such an important cause. We are really proud of everyone’s involvement and are already looking at dates to have the Teddy Bear Toss again next year.” – Chad Anderson, Student President of Southwestern Oregon Junior Chamber and pictured here with the collection of bears for the hospital.
