Lane Men and Everett Women cruise to team wins at NWAACC Cross Country Preview

The Clark XC Classic - NWAACC Preview was held at Lewisville Park in Battleground, WA Saturday. Nine of the leagues' twelve teams were on hand including four of the top five teams in the men and women's divisions from the 2012 season.

Clackamas sophomore Jorge Gil-Juarez  took top spot in the men's individual competition with a time of 26:03 in the 8K while freshman teammate Jackson Baker took second with a time of 26:04.

Lane runners took the next three spots led by Eduardo Juarez to help lift the Titans to a team win over Clackamas 71 to 55. Everett came in a very close third with 72 points while 2012 champions Spokane finished 4th with 87 points.

2012 Women's XC Baden Player of the Year Jessica Mildes of Spokane cruised to an 18 second victory with a time of 19:11 over runner-up freshman Katy Potter of Lane who turned in a time of 19:29 in the women's 5K event.

Everett freshman Alisha Lunda placed third with a time of 19:48 and anchored Everett, the 2012 league champions, to a first place finish with 31 points over runner up Corban College who had 46 points.  Lane came in third with 66 points.
