Big week for NWAACC Championship events and baseball playoffs

It's a busy weekend around the NWAACC as championship events for softball, golf and track & field will kick off as well as regional baseball playoffs for the North, East and West regions.

Softball gets underway Friday morning at Delta Park in Portland, Oregon. Opening games are slated for a 10:00am start. The tournament caps off with the title game on Monday at 11am (an 'if necessary' game could also take place at 1:15pm).

Opening round of golf takes place on Sunday at Horn Rapids Golf Course in  Richland, Washington. Tee time is 9:30am off hole #1. The tournament will resume at Horn Rapids 7:30with slpit tees on Monday.

Day 1 of the track & field championships begin at 10am on Monday with the women's 10,000m run on the campus of Spokane Falls CC and completes on Tuesday following the men's 1600m relay at 2:05pm.

Baseball regional playoffs are taking place at Treasure Valley (East), Edmonds (North) and Tacoma (West). The North and East play a four team tournament to decide the two participants in the NWAACC Championship Tourney. The North and East regular season region champions are guarenteed to go to the championships, but not as the #1 seed. The West has a playoff between West #2 Tacoma and #3 Lower Columbia to decide the West #2 seed for the Championship Tourney [North Playoff Bracket | East Playoff Bracket].

The South does not have a baseball playoff, so regular season champ Clark will advance. The South regular season will be capped by a huge game on Friday to decide the #2 seed between Lane and Southwestern Oregon in Coos Bay.
