Spokane Men and Columbia Basin win Golf Championships

Spokane men more than doubled their 10 stroke lead after day one to defeat co-runner ups Olympic and SW Oregon 577 to 599.

Spokane's Brady Calikins, who was in second place after day one holding a 69 score card, turned in another great performance with another 69 to take the Men's title with a 138.

Day one men's leader Max Tucker of Bellevue (68 points) finished one stroke ahead of NWAACC Baden Player of the Year Evan Omelia (Spokane - 144) and Keynan Fanslow (Olympic - 144) for second place with a score of 143.

Columbia Basin destroyed the team competition turning in a 3 person team score card of 498 to defeat runner up Spokane by 33 strokes. CBC's Janci Spoo took third with 166.

NWAACC Baden Player of the Year Hope Neidhold of Columbia Basin won the Women's title with a total of 158 followed closely by Leslie Guzman of Olympic who turned in a 159. Columbia Basin's Janci Spoo took third with 166.

Spokane's Scott Kramer was named the Men's Coach of the Year and Dan Clifford the Women's COY.
