All Four Community Colleges of Spokane Menís Golf Sophomores Moving on to Play Golf; Three NCAA Division I
The Community Colleges of Spokane Men’s Golf Team won 8 tournament titles in 2013-14, including the regular season and NWAACC Championship and the sophomore class won 19 team titles in 2 seasons.
This was due in large part to the individual leadership and success of 3 outgoing sophomores who are signed up to play NCAA Division I golf the next two years and Washington State University, the University of Idaho and Utah State University.
Evan Omelia signed to play at WSU during the early National Letter of Intent signing period in November of 2013.† In 2013-14 Omelia won 4 individual titles and 7 during his 2 seasons with Spokane.† He is a 2-time first-team All-NWAACC performer and was the 2014 Baden NWAACC Player of the Year.† Evan finished the season with a 70.3 scoring average.
Cole Lorenzo committed to play golf at Utah State University where he will join Sasquatch alum, Grahm Schmaltz.† Cole is 2-time first-team All-NWAACC selection and earned to medalist honors and multiple top-5 finishes in his 2 years with Spokane.† Cole finished this past season with a 72.3 scoring average.
Cooper Wright committed to play golf at the University of Idaho starting in the fall of 2014.† Cooper was a 2012-13 first-team All-NWAACC performer and medalist at the Suncadia Invitational.† Cooper has multiple top-10 finishes and was voted team captain in 2013-14.
Tof Chapin committed to play golf at Texas Lutheran University where he will finish his final 2 years of eligibility.† Tof was a strong contributor in 2013-14, helping Spokane to win some team titles.† He was awarded the most improved player and the Sheldon Maul Teammate Award in 2013-14.
