Emily Ngonevolalath, Kentridge HS / Renton, WA.,Came back from stokes down in the opening round to tie the day one leader after round two at the Bellevue League Match. She helped lead the Bulldogs to a second place finish with a score of 160.

"Emily shot a personal best 3 over par 75 in the second round to make up a five stroke deficit after the first round of play in the Bellevue League Match," said BC head coach Keith Mickle. "Despite a triple bogey on the third hole of play, she bounced back and knocked down 4 birdies in the remaining 15 holes to tie for a playoff for the medalist honors. After a tie on the first playoff hole, Emily lost to a great 25' birdie putt to Avery Gill of SWOC on the second playoff hole."

Added Mickle, "Emily displayed great mental toughness and skill in staying focused after the triple bogey. I just stayed out of the way and let her play her game. The whole team is thrilled that Emily is the NWAC  Women's Athlete of the Week, as she displayed the character and spirit of competition by staying positive and focused on doing her best."
