Al Courter's collegiate career began at Columbia Basin College where he played basketball and baseball for the Hawks. Courter was part of CBC's basketball squad that won five consecutive championships in the mid-60s. As a baseball player, he hit over .300 as a third baseman and left-fielder. After leaving CBC, Courter attended University of Portland where he again excelled in both sports. As the proprietor of two Honda dealerships in Seattle's suburbs, Courter has been nationallys recognized for his contributions within and beyond the business arena. Among his many awards, Courter was named "2001 All-Star Dealer" by the American International Automobile Dealers Association(AIADA), In conjunction with Newsweek and The Washington Post and received Time magazine's "Quality Dealer Award for Washington State" in 1997. He also serves the AIADA and the Americans for Free International Trade boards.
