Baseball player for CBC in 1969 and 1970. After attending Creighton University, he went on to an eight-year major league career with the Minnesota Twins, Toronto Blue Jays and Oakland A's. He has been a long time coach in the major leagues, serving on the coaching staff with Tony LaRussa and winning three world series rings with the Oakland A's and St. Louis Cardinals. He currently is the first base coach for the Chicago Cubs. He is a member of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Columbia Basin College Hall of Fame in 2012.
