Lorenzo was a men's basketball player at Tacoma from 1993-95, and MVP of the West Region in 1994. He was the NWAACC scoring leader for two seasons averaging 26.2 points per game in 1994 and 25.6 points per game in 1995. Lorenzo is the all-time leading scorer at Tacoma with 1,240 points, an average of 25.8 points per game. He holds the record for most points in a game with 48 and scored more than 40 on three separate occasions. He also holds Tacoma's records for three-point field goal percentage at 46.8% and total made field goals with 454. He went on to play at Gonzaga where he was a 1997 First Team All-West Coast Conference selection. Lorenzo graduated from Gonzaga with a degree in Communications in 1998 and went on to play professionally in South America and Korea from 1998-2002.
