Sandy Cooprider served as Athletic Director, Head Baseball Coach and Head Football Coach for the Knights. His span of athletic service at WVC was between 1971-2000. In 1983, the Knights were NWAACC Football Champions with a 9-0-1 record and were ranked 2nd in the NJCAA National Football Poll. In 1996, he co-founded the Wenatchee Valley Sports Council and then served as the president in 1997. Sandy spearheaded the development and the building of the Paul Thomas Baseball Field located on the Wenatchee Valley College campus as well as the Mike Hollis Soccer Field. Cooprider has been a faculty member at WVC for over 40 years.
