Heidi (Simmons) Melville attended Northwest Christian High School before joining Coach Cor Van der Meer at CCS in 1996. She led Spokane to the Final Four her freshman year and to the Eastern Division title as a sophomore.

She again was instrumental in taking the Sasquatch to the Final Four, where CCS placed second in the NWAACC Championship. Simmons scored 19 goals as a defender and made the NWAACC All-Star Team both years. In 1997 Heidi was named the NorthEast Division MVP.

She went on to the University of Montana and led the Grizzlies to the Big Sky title and was voted the league MVP her senior year. During her two years at Montana, Heidi led the Big Sky Conference in both goals and assists.

After graduation, she returned to the Spokane area to coach high school soccer. She currently coaches the boys’ soccer team at St. George’s High School where they won the league championship in 2014.
