Dave Browning was a 1974 and 1975 Spokane Falls Community College football player who hailed from Liberty High School in Spangle, Washington. Browning, a defensive lineman, was the SFCC football team's Most Valuable Player as well as being named to the NWAACC All-Star squad.

He went on to play football at the University of Washington where he became team captain and led the Huskies to a Rose Bowl victory in 1977. Browning was a second round pick and played six seasons with the Oakland Raiders and helped lead them to victory in Super Bowl XV.

After playing nine seasons of professional football, Dave retired from the NFL and returned to his hometown of Mica, Washington, where he manages and operates the family farm.
