Mark Kafentzis

Class of 2012

Kafentzis excelled in wrestling, track and football while at Richland High School. He attended Columbia Basin College in 1978 and was part of the National Junior College Football Championship team. While at CBC, Mark was named All-Conference defensive back and All-American as a kick return specialist. After CBC, he went to University of Hawaii and played for Dick Tomey. Kafentzis was named to the "All Raninbow Team" of the 1980's. His success at Hawaii led him to being drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the seventh round of the 1982 draft. In 2004, Mark Kafentzis was inducted into the Central Washington Sports Hall of Fame.
