Alphonse Hammond

Alphonse Hammond

Centralia College
Class of 1995

Hammond had an outstanding two-year basketball career at Centralia College, leading the Trailblazers to a division title and a runner-up finish at the 1983 NWAACC Tournament, while earning all-league and all-tournament team honors.

He won Centralia's Outsanding Sportsman award in 1983.

Hammond then played basketball for the University of Puget Sound where he was "Most Valuable Player" for both his team and the league in 1985.

He spent several years playing professional basketball in Australia.

Hammond was elected into the Centralia Sports Hall of Fame in 1993.
