Terry Folen began her life in the NWAACC as the Head Volleyball Coach at Mt. Hood in 1988. After that initial season, she learned fast and won the first of her two NWAACC Volleyball Championships in 1989, posting a 35-8 record along the way. She spent ten seasons as the Saints head coach, winning the NWAACC title again in 1993, while posting a 42-5 season record.

During those ten years, her teams finished in the top five at the NWAACC tournament eight times and in the top three of the vaunted Southern
Region all ten years. Twice she was selected as the NWAACC Volleyball Coach-of-the-Year and twice she was selected as the Southern Region Coach-of-the-Year by her peers.

Terry also served the NWAACC off the court. She began her duties as the Women’s Commissioner from Mt. Hood in June, 1993 and served until August, 1999 and then was appointed a second time in June of 2002 until June of 2006 when she retired from Mt. Hood (and the NWAACC). She also served as a member of the NWAACC Executive Board from June 2003 until June 2005.
