The MVP of the 1968 NWAACC Basketball Tournament as he led the Helmsen to the title in the school's first ever season. An all-state first team selection, he scored 42 points against Clark in the state tournament semifinals and finished with 646 points and 325 rebounds. Transferred to Portland State University where he scored 1024 points in two seasons. Earned team MVP honors for the Vikings leading them in rebounding and scored 40, 45, and 46 points in three consecutive games. Drafted by the Virginia Squires of the old American Basketball Association in 1970. Holder of a PhD. in Martial Arts, he is the first American to earn a Black Sash in the ancient Shao-Lin art of T'ien Shan P'ai. A 1999 inductee into the International Martial Art Hall of Fame, he is currently the Executive Director of Black Belt University in Washington, D.C.
