NWAC Volleyball Showcase - 32 Teams - 96 Matches! August 26-27 Springfield, OR

2017 Volleyball Showcase Banner

The Northwest Athletic Association (NWAC) is pleased to announce the NWAC Volleyball Showcase featuring all 32 teams playing in approximately 96 volleyball matches at the Bob Keefer Center for Sports and Recreation located in Springfield, Oregon, August 26-27, 2017.

For a third consecutive year the  NWAC will partner with Willamalane Park and Recreation District, Eugene Cascades Coast Sports Commission, Lane Community College, and the City of Springfield in providing exciting athletic competition in the Springfield/Eugene areas.

According to NWAC Executive Director, Marco Azurdia, “the NWAC enjoys working with the staff of the Bob Keefer Center for Sports and Recreation and the Eugene Cascades Coast Sports Commission as we continue our athletic endeavors via this partnership.”

At NWAC championships, and major events, student-athletes from NWAC are involved in a community service project.  This year at the NWAC Volleyball Showcase, member schools will be providing backpacks with school supplies for the McKinney-Vento program at the Brattain House to pass along to students in the Springfield area. Last year NWAC student-athletes provided over 100 backpacks stocked with school supplies to students in the Springfield/Eugene areas.

Joey Jewell of the Eugene, Cascades & Coast Sports Commission commented, “the Northwest Athletic Association has been a fantastic partner over the years providing not only economic benefits to Lane County, but truly investing in our local community through their efforts with the McKinney-Vento Program and the Brattain House.  This event not only provides quality entertainment for the community, but also highlights positive role models to Lane County youth.  We are excited to welcome the Northwest Athletic Association and will be providing a first-class experience for their student-athletes.”

Along with partners, Lane Community College, Eugene Cascades Coast Sports Commission, Sub Shop of West Eugene and Big Foot Beverages, the NWAC Volleyball Showcase is pleased to be back for this exciting volleyball showcase.  Many of today’s community college volleyball players will be tomorrow’s four-year players.
