Job Announcement: Associate Director of Athletics - Whatcom Community College

The Associate Director of Athletics provides strategic direction, outreach, and management for all intercollegiate programs, facilities, and activities. This position ensures that Whatcom Community College’s (WCC) athletics operate in accordance with the college’s mission, strategic goals, and regulatory requirements of the College and the Northwest Athletics Commission (NWAC).

The Associate Director is responsible for ensuring federal, regional, and state, college intercollegiate compliance, administering departmental funds and accounts in a fiscally responsible manner, and sustaining a culture of sportsmanship, leadership, professionalism and respect at all levels. This position is also responsible for the oversight and supervision of all coaching staff, and ensuring that all NWAC athletic eligibility policies are followed in accordance to the NWAC handbook. Reporting to the Director for Student Life and Development, the Associate Director for Athletics leads and promotes meaningful student athlete leadership and engagement while building a welcoming and inclusive athletics program for the college community.
