Lane's Kylee O'Connor earns NSCAA Scholar All-America
Kansas City, MO - Lane sophomore Kylee O'Connor was named to the 2015 NSCAA Junior College Women's Scholar All-America team, announced by the NSCAA in December.
O'Connor, a Eugene-native, has maintained a 3.9 grade point average while being dual-enrolled at Lane CC and the University of Oregon. To be nominated, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) throughout his or her career; start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team.
In addition to her succes in the classroom, O'Connor was named a NWAC All-Star for her contributions on the field this Fall. She led the Titans to their second-consecutive Southern Region Championship and a spot in the NWAC playoffs.
O'Connor is also a standout on the Lane Track and Field team.
Also making the team from the NWAC was North Idaho's Alexandra Rankin, a sophomore completing her Business degree.
