Skagit Valley took three individual championships and defeated Treasure valley by the narrowest of possible margins 124-123.

Treasure Valley came in runner-up despite claiming four individual titles including the #1 singles and #1 doubles.

TVCC freshman Scottie Sieger defeated Spokane sophomore Colton Erho in the #1 Singles in two sets, then teamed up with sophomore Jake Brown to win the #1 Doubles over the combo of Skagit Valley's Durante Rodriguez (So) & Carlos Alencar (Fr), 6-7 (6-8), 6-3, 6-1.

The team championship was Skagit Valley's 4th and first since 2005.

The Bellevue Women simply cruised to their third consecutive team title winning eight of nine individual championships to defeat runner-up Skagit Valley 141-114.

Bellevue freshman Moriah Austin defeated Skagit Valley freshman Carlie Newman in three sets 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.

Newman will look to battle for the title next season to continue the Newman family string of NWAC individual tennis champions. Sister Lindsey won consecutive titles in 2010 & 2011 while brother Riley matched the feat in 2012 & 2013. The Newman siblings each also claimed a doubles title.

Austin also won the doubles title with sophomore Xingjian (Jessie) Han over Skagit's Newman and freshman Makenzie Perry 6-2, 6-4. Han was also a member of the Bellevue's doubles championship in 2015.

The title was Bellevue women's 11th overall, all coached by Jason Chapman. The Bulldogs have claimed 11 titles in the last 12 years. The last time another team stood on the championship podium was Skagit Valley in 2013.

Chapman was named the Women's Coach of the Year while Skagit Valley's Kim Somerville was named the Men's Coach of the Year.
