Bellevue women continue hold on NWAACC Tennis title
Spokane, WA- For the seventh consecutive year, the Bellevue Bulldogs stamped their authority on women's tennis in the NWAACC by leaving Spokane with the 2011 NWAACC team title and eight of the nine individual titles. Bellevue score 141 points in the three day tournament, out scoring second place Spokane by 43 points.
Preventing a BC sweep of all the titles was defending singles champion Lindsey Newman (Skagit Valley). Newman defeated the tournament's number one seed Anissa Bryant-Swift (BC) 6-3, 6-4. The two had split their regular season matches.
Bryan-Swift won the doubles title with teammate Erica Leong.
Bellevue's Jason Chapman was named the NWAACC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year.
