NWAACC becomes NWAC
NWAACC: “Moving On and Upward”
Over the past three years as the NWAACC has continued to evolve and elevate as a conference, there have been some foundational principles that have guided the decisions of the conference. Those principles are:
- “Give more than what is expected”
- “Give student-athletes the experience they deserve”
- “Our service and support must be rooted in excellence”
- “Our focus is on character, competition and community”
- “Cultivate and develop the NWAACC brand”
Today the NWAACC office is pleased to announce that the conference has a new logo(s) and has shorten the acronym NWAACC (Northwest Athletic Association of Community College) to NWAC (Northwest Athletic Conference).
Research has shown us that our logo was large and extremely difficult to transpose onto a variety of materials. The new logo(s) should be easier to work with and simpler to transpose onto surfaces and materials. Reducing the acronym from NWAACC to NWAC allows us to reduce the size, yet still allows the same verbalization that has been used for years. The four stars represent the four regions that make up the NWAC.
We have a secondary logo that can be used as well on uniforms, caps and other items and second logo is attached for your use. Following is the URL link to NWAC logos usage: http://www.nwaacc.org/marketing/NWAACC-LOGO-GUIDELINES.pdf
Due to these changes, we have made a change to the link of the NWAC home page. The new address is www.nwacsports.com.
Today we begin to make the transition to a new logo(s) and a new acronym in our efforts to develop our conference brand. The transition will take time as there are many items to work through. Though the logo(s) and acronym may be new, we can still say “NWAC” and we will continue our commitment to elevate the conference by providing more than what is expected and give student-athletes the experience they deserve.
