Former Lane Titans Shine During the Indoor Championship Season
Several former Lane Community College athletes recently had solid outings in their respective conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Jahzelle Ambus set a Seattle Pacific record in winning the 400m (56.1), and then she teamed up with her former Titan teammate Jalen Tims to win the 4x400 title thus propelling the Falcons to a GNAC Indoor Title. Meanwhile, Kara Hallock placed seventh over the weekend at the MSPF Championships, scoring 3916 in the pentathlon. She now competes for Oregon State where she is coached by former Titan, Collin Cram.
And rounding out the championship weekend report, we have two former Lane pole vaulter’s Janelle Noga and Erik Jorgensen making the most of their opportunity while at The University of South Dakota. Janelle jumped a personal best 12’02.5” for 7th place and Erik jumped 16’03.25” for 5th place at the Summit league championships.
