Clackamas alum Kennedy Rufener marks 7th best season time in Division II

Kennedy Rufener placed the best time for the NCAA Div II Western Colorado University women at the University of Washington Husky Classic track & field meet, running 16:39.26, placing her sixth on the Western all time indoor list and placing her seventh in the nation.

During the 2018 cross country season, Rufener earned All-American honors placing 17th at NCAA National Championships as part of the 3rd place women's team at Western Colorado.

Prior to attending Western Colorado, she set five school records for Western Oregon University and was a two-time All-American (5k Indoor, 10k Outdoor). In cross country, Rufener was an All-Region selection and individual qualifier for the National Championships. She graduated from WOU with honors while earning USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.

Rufener competed for Clackamas during the 2014 & 2015 seasons.
