Former Yakima Valley legend Al Rogers remembered during YVC Volleyball match

Former Yakima Valley Head Coach Al Rogers was remembered during a ceremony at YVC 's Volleyball match against Walla Walla last Friday.
Rogers passed away in June. He was YVC’s head coach since 1988 and an assistant for 10 years prior [read more about Al's notable history here].
Volleyball Sports Committee Chairperson, Kathie Woods met with Al's wife, Loralee, and daughter, Keshia to present a remembrance book signed by more than 35 coaches, past players, officials and friends.
"It was an honor to represent the NWAC and the volleyball coaches in giving the book to Al's family," said Woods. "We also gave them a framed picture collage of Al. It was a special night and you could just feel his presence and hear his laugh in that gym. He was a great friend and peer that I'm going to miss greatly. What an awesome guy."
