Lane's Hoff Earns Back-to-Back Decathlon Championship with Dominant Overall Performance

SPOKANE, Wash. - Lane's Lucas Hoff won his second-straight decathlon title at the 2026 NWAC Multi-Event Championships on Tuesday at Whitworth University, hosted by Spokane Colleges.

Hoff was impressive against a five-man field as had the top mark or time in eight of the 10 events. He finished with 6,654 points, besting his 2025 championship mark by over 100 points. Hoff started the meet with six-straight wins before finishing third in the discus. He answered back with top marks in the pole vault (4.35 meters) and the javelin (49.48 meters).

Spokane's Jacob Goude took second place with 5,999 points. Goude took first place in the discus with a mark of 36.51 meters. Southwestern Oregon's Jack Sperr placed third with 5,775 points, end the meet with the top time in the 1,500 meters of 4:48.35. Spokane's Kyler Mitchell took fourth with 5,078 points and SWOCC's Marques Hescock placed fifth with 4,323 points to each make the podium.

Spokane earned 13 team points towards the 2026 NWAC Championships on May 18-19 at Mt. Hood Community College. Lane and SWOCC each scored 10 points.
