Titans Back in the Final Four with 75-50 Win Against Green River

PASCO, Wash. - The two-time defending champion Lane Titans secured a decisive victory over Green River 75-50 in the Elite 8 round of the 2025 NWAC Women's Basketball Championship presented by Golf Universe on Thursday at Columbia Basin College.

With this victory, Lane (31-0) remained unbeaten on the season, extending their overall winning streak to 44 games dating back to the 2023-24 season. The Titans advance to their fifth-straight NWAC Final Four and will take on Peninsula next Saturday, March 15 in rematch of the 2023 semifinal game.

Emma McDonald led the Titans with 22 points, shooting 10-for-16 from the field, and contributed six rebounds and two steals. Micah Wicks also had a strong performance, achieving a triple-double with 16 points,11 rebounds and a game-high 10 assists. Lillee Duffin was a key player in the paint, securing a team-high 15 rebounds and adding 14 points along with seven assists. Alessa Soto came off the bench to add 11 points.

The Titans finished the first quarter with a narrow lead over the Gators, 17-15. Green River made three three-pointers and limited Lane to just one to help keep the game close after 10 minutes.

The Titans surged ahead in the second quarter, however, outscoring GRC 21-10. Lane excelled in the paint with 12 points and secured a 13-point lead at the end of the quarter. The Titans' defense was strong, achieving four steals and committing only two turnovers compared to the Gators' six.

The Titans put the game out of reach in the third quarter with a 33-9 scoring advantage over Green River, extending their lead to 71-34. The Titans shot 14-for-23 from the field in the quarter.

Green River outscored Lane 16-4 in the fourth quarter, but the deficit was too much to overcome as they fell 75-50.

Aryanna Bull led the Gators with a great defensive game, recording eight blocks and securing 15 rebounds, including 11 on the defensive end. She also had a team-high 10 points. Jaylah Brown showcased her perimeter shooting, connecting on three 3-point attempts to score a total of 9 points.

The Titans will enjoy a week off before their next game, taking on the Peninsula Pirates in the semifinals. The Pirates own the second-longest winning streak this year at 23 games.
