NWAC intern and former Bellevue standout Grant Harris named to the Big South All-Academic Team
BUIES CREEK, N.C. — Campbell baseball senior Grant Harris has been named to the 2020 Big South Conference All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Harris joined the Campbell baseball program in 2018 as a transfer from Bellevue College. Through two full years as a Camel, Harris has maintained a near perfect 4.0 GPA as he pursues his degree in sport management from Campbell.
On the diamond, Harris has been a mainstay in the Campbell outfield, making 50 starts between center field and right field. The native of Kenmore, Wash., owns a career .213 average with four home runs and 11 doubles.
The Big South Baseball All-Academic Team consists of one student-athlete from each institution that meets the criteria of having completed at least one academic year at the institution, maintains at least a cumulative 3.0 grade-point average, and is of sophomore standing. The team and Scholar-Athlete of the Year award, which was earned by High Point's Harrison Smith, are selected by the Big South Conference sports information directors. This year's team combined for a 3.79 GPA, and is as followed:
