Pitching, Davis' 1st Home Run Lead Sasquatch to 4-2 Win Against Red Devils in Game 10

LONGVIEW, Wash. - The Spokane Sasquatch defeated Lower Columbia 4-2 in game 10, an elimination game, on Saturday afternoon at the 2025 NWAC Baseball Championship at David Story Field.

The Sasquatch used four different pitchers to limit the Red Devils to just two runs and got a two-run home run from Cooper Davis to lead them to victory and keep their championship aspirations alive. After dropping their first game of the tournament, the Sasquatch have won two in a row and will be one of the final four teams remaining.

Carson Boesel made the start for the Sasquatch, pitching 5.1 innings while allowing one run with three strikeouts to earn the victory. The bullpen was strong as well as Tyler Boden came in first, pitching 1.2 innings without allowing a hit. David Barnes allowed one run with two strikeouts in the eighth and Tyler Alm earned the save with two punchouts in a perfect ninth inning.

Spokane got out to a 1-0 lead in the first as Jalen King beat out an infield single. He then stole second base and was moved over on a bunt by Chase Edwards. Reese Vassar drove King in with a groundout.

Neither team scored over the next five innings until Cooper Davis broke the game open with a two-run home run to right field. The home run was the first of the year for Davis. The Sasquatch kept the momentum going in the inning as they loaded the bases. Vassar then drove in his second run of the inning by taking a hit by pitch.

LCC got a run back in the bottom of the sixth as Harlan Rowe had an RBI single to score Sam Davidson. Rowe again drove in Davidson in the eighth to cut the deficit down to 4-2, but the Red Devils were able to get no closer.

Spokane continues on in the tournament as they will next play the winner of Linn-Benton vs. Tacoma on Sunday at 4:05 p.m.

Lower Columbia finishes an outstanding year with a 45-6 overall record and the West Region title.
